Howard has been acting a little crazy lately. I am concerned he has been possessed by a demon, probably because I recently read a fanfiction in which someone was possessed by a demon (hopefully Howard’s demon is not a sex demon like in the story or that would be even more disturbing). He used to be a very normal, calm rat & during playtime, he would often curl up to me on the pillow & stare lovingly at me while I petted him.

Until yesterday, when I decided to sing White Christmas to him. It seemed necessary to sing it quite dramatically, so I did 10 second high notes & all that, it was really a lovely rendition of the song despite the fact I have absolutely no ability to carry a tune. I would have received an A++ for effort.

ANYWAY, midway through the song, I looked at Howard & his eyes were enormous & he was bruxing like he had never been happier in his life. I continued my caroling, convinced that I was thrilling him, & just when I hit the climax of the song, he attempted to shove his entire body into my mouth. Pax noticed this & decided it meant that my “rats do not go into my mouth, ever” ban must have been lifted, so he also attempted to enter my mouth at the same time & I was laughing & coughing & I was pretty convinced I was going to suffocate, but at least it’d be a funny way to die, & maybe they’d put a drawing of my death on my tombstone & future cemetery visitors would spend hours deciphering what was going on in the picture.

Every time Howard has seen me since then, his eyes go all large & terrifying & he looks like he would like nothing better than to return to my mouth & I’m probably going to have to wear a facemask so that he quits acting so weird.

I MUST TASTE DELICIOUS.

This was so funny! I wish you, I and Toby could hang out and talk about crazy rat/cat stuff.

Darcy puffs himself out soooo much when he’s angry & he looks so incredibly fat.

:D :D :D!!! Toby/Miso and I were talking about this yesterday, and how the puffiness seems to end at his neck, like there’s a line. (Also his feet look tiny and like they could hardly carry him.)
