James Callis - Very genuine man. He was lovely to talk to and was very kind. He asked what I do; I work in Before and After School Care - I work with kids. He signed “Dear Jacqueline - children, children- who will inherit the world! [something something?] James Callis. And it was only $10 to have a photo taken right then and there! He .. ugh. He made my inner fangirl very happy.
FreakingFrakking Mark Sheppard - omg, he was such a hilarious butt in the Supernatural panel. I know him primarily from BSG (and Doctor Who) as I’ve only ever watched the first episode of Supernatural (working on it). He told me I spell my name the right way, chuckled at my “Sherlock is my Holmesboy” shirt, commented on lesbibffs SuperWhoLock (plus Harry Potter) shirt and said that he needs to/will be in Sherlock. THAT WOULD BE THE GREATEST. Though I’m not holding my breath because he is obviously in Calgary and they are filming series 3. But … I would be so thrilled. Beyond thrilled. SERIES 4 NEEDS SOME MARK SHEPPARD.I have no idea what all the little squiggles between my name and his are. Any thoughts?
WALTER KOENIG - we saw a panel/talk/whatever in Vulcan last year, but photo ops/autographs had been sold out. I was nearly out of money at this point today but lesbibffs spotted me the change to get an autograph today. (Thank you!) We originally walked up and said hello - I told him I enjoyed seeing him in Vulcan and that if I could find an ATM I would be back for an autograph. When we went back for an autograph he was a darling. He told me about when he was speaking in Quebec and had a translator talking over him - it was hard to concentrate. He was so gracious and I adored every minute of meeting him. I even shook his hand!
John Barrowman - JOHN BARROWMAN. I almost don’t need to say more. Got this autograph on Friday. He asked how we were - I think I replied “Excited.”
JB: “Don’t pee yourself.”
Me: “I haven’t done that in a few years.”
lesbibffs: “If you do I’m abandoning you here.”
JB: “Well don’t do that - don’t abandon her HERE!”
Gareth David-Lloyd and Eve Myles - I haven’t had the time/opportunity to watch Torchwood yet, though it’s most definitely on the watch list. We got these because we know we are going to want them in the future. Eve seemed shy/something and Gareth was adorable and sweet, even when I told him I haven’t seen the show yet. I’m so awkward.
Misha Collins - I am a little bit intimidated by him, and I don’t know why. I haven’t seen him acting in anything (obviously) but he seems hilarious and this was sort of a “preemptive” autograph as well.
I am exhausted.
“lots of love”, James Callis. ;) That’s so cool! I think he has a particular soft spot for children. (He has three himself and has often given his con profits to child charities, etc.) I could imagine he has a lot of respect for people who work with them.
